The Fascists Grab a Chance to Attack the High Tech Economy

Ok, so this moron thinks his “conservatism” trumps diversity in the workplace and is wanting to sue.  So let’s look at the reality for a minute.  First off, allowing this cretin to create a hostile work environment - for anybody - means his employer could get sued in court and lose.  That was the stated reason for his termination, and his obviously and viciously inflammatory memo - not a private document, but one he broadcast - certainly did that.  Case closed.

Now to the political reality.  the current fascists in Washington have been looking for two things:

• They want a way to destroy all civil rights.
• They want a way to bring the economic engine of the High Tech industry under their control.

This case would be a way to at least start on both, so I fully expect Jeff Sessions to send this clown act all of the help he can.  This guy’s lawyer is Harmeet Dhillon, a woman (really? WTF?) and a California representative for the Republican National Committee, so the fascists have already tipped their hand, and from Dhillon’s comments, Peter Thiel is likely to finance the suit.  To add to the hilarity, Google is facing four sexual discrimination complaints from women because their upward mobility is limited.

So let’s look at how this case helps the fascists.  First off, civil rights are predicated on the belief that people are equal at the core.  This is obviously anathema to the pseudo-president’s “base,” and especially the Nazis and the KKK that are his strongest allies.  This is the perfect case for the racists, even if it just yet another twist on the old “reverse discrimination” garbage they have been unsuccessfully pushing for decades.  The fact of the matter is that civil rights laws crimp their style, reducing their ability to steal elections and harass people into voting the way the fascists want, not to mention reducing their control over the lives of the citizens.

I have to ask at this point if the pseudo-POTUS has managed to put a judge in the federal judiciary so brainwashed as to accept anything like the legal theory in this case.  Before I get attacked by lawyers for not having any “proof” of any of this, I will remind you that the only “proof” that matters in a US court of law is what a lawyer can bullshit the judge into believing, and that kind of corrupt judge is what the fascist in the Whitehouse has been trying to pawn off of the federal courts for some time now.

On the second point - the engine of the high-tech industries is based on bringing the smartest people together and letting them work together.  “Diversity” is necessary, by definition, because the smartest people are not all white, not by far.  If the whites can wreck the workplace by demanding special privileges based on their “conservative” viewpoint - really their dangerous insanity in an intellectual world - the intellectual workforce will go elsewhere, and the high-techs will be forced to grovel at the fascists’ knees, or so the theory goes.  With the loss of the intellectual workforce, so goes the economic power of the Googles of the country.

Fascists throughout history have always had a hostile relationship with intellectuals - they are the first to call the fascists out as what they are, and they cannot be suppressed, only killed.  Now that the fascists have their backs against the wall, they have discovered that the most economically powerful force in the United States is also their worst enemy - the intellectuals.  All of the old industries that kept the remains of the industrial economy going and the less-intellectual employed have been destroyed malice-aforethought by the fascists’ corporate allies, but the economic engine of the post-industrial world is not something they can get a handle on, and it is killing them.

The economic power of Capital - that theoretical beast that results from concentrations of money - has (in the fascists’ minds) suddenly taken a back seat to the economic power of the creative mind, and they have no weapons to beat it into submission.  The fact that this has actually been slowly happening since the 1960’s or so seems to have escaped their notice, even though Nixon declared war on the hippies and started the “war on drugs” to try to pigeonhole, discredit and legally remove the intellectuals that were the biggest threat to his Vietnam War.  At any rate, they finally have had to notice, and are now trying to turn back the clock to when their huge piles of cash could buy them the world and start World Wars to get even richer.

So what could happen if this clown actually wins this case?  The next step would be a lawsuit to allow Nazis to wear swastikas and/or armbands at work, and KKK members to wear their robes and hoods.  Next would be a once-a-week long lunch hour so they could participate in the weekly lynchings or beatings of hapless members of minority groups.  Then would come the requirements that all minority women be restricted to secretarial roles and required to wear minimal, sexy clothes and be available for the sexual satisfaction of whites during business hours, with special rooms set aside for the purpose.

I know that this is getting ridiculous, but the point is that the whole thing is around-the-bend ridiculous to start with.  Is there no end to how far these fascists will go before someone finally removes them?
