Bezos Thinks He ’s Trump Now
Amazon is now just another corruption in the Trump shitholeI am old fashioned. I love writing with a fountain pen. I even have favorite inks that look good to me and write well. Amazon carries those inks, and that is where this story begins. Just a normal shipping problemThe last bottle of ink I ordered cost me $8.11. No issues. It came in today, in a bubble-wrap waterproof envelope. The envelope was a good thing, because if it hadn’t been waterproof, the Amazon driver would have had ink all over the inside of his truck. The ink bottle was maybe half full, with the contents of the envelope having absorbed the rest. It happens sometimes, no issues there, just return and replace, or so it used to be. I started a return. First off, they didn’t offer me a replacement, only a refund. Red Flag. They also wouldn’t let me return it to my local Staples where I have been returning things; instead I have to go across town to the Whole Foods store. Orange flag. Whatever. Then comes the painThen I go to buy a replacement for the damaged goods, and find out why they didn’t want to send me a replacement - the price had almost tripled to over $23.00 – in a f’in week. My cracked bottle of ink has become a bait-and-switch scam. Bezos is now playing in Trump’s territory, and Amazon has become an even bigger scam. Scamazon indeed. Of course there is no human being available to complain to or fix the issue. All I wanted was a bottle of ink, and instead I get my nose rubbed hard in corporate greed and corruption. Once again, enshittification reigns.
