The GQP is Nothing but Child’s Fantasies

Why does our tax money pay for children like MTg to cosplay adults?

It has been obvious since at least Ronnie Raygun that the former Republican Party was living on fantasies. Raygun had “Morning in America” and the sad-but-laughable lie of “Supply Side Economics,” both total fantasies and absolutely false. The “Moral Majority” popped up on the radar on his watch, and along with a bunch of other ridiculously named fright-wing organizations became the revived Nazis of today’s GQP.

The GOP of yesteryear was nowhere near as toxic as today’s, but you can see the regression from even the time of Nixon, where the former party of Lincoln kept backsliding until they completely lost any semblance of (or relation to) reality. While it is true that Nixon’s Republicans were anti-progress and big-money-business, they were nowhere near as corrupt as the current GQP and the orange cult that owns it. They actually got rid of Nixon when he turned corrupt.

Today’s GQP lives in a cross between corrupted false-christian fairy tales and pure me-me-me greed. The fake culture wars they keep stirring up are nothing but scams to keep the rubes riled up and preventing them doing anything approaching rational thought. The ridiculous “own the libs” memes start as lies and never progress beyond them, just as a cancer starts as a few out-of-control cells and just expands. Neither one actually changes or progresses into anything else, they just get bigger and more fatal. As an obvious example, the ridiculously misnamed “Right to Life” idiocy has grown to include all forms of misogyny and control, even though it is still based on the same woman-hating lies spread from pulpits by false prophets and swallowed whole by children in adult bodies.

The result of the orange cult’s takeover has been the emergence of MTg and Boebert on the national stage. These are children in adult bodies operating on the first-grade brains they never outgrew. While the GOP had Sarah Palin as their token idiot for a while, she was recognized for what she was and sent back to Alaska to chill out and feed mosquitoes. Once the orangutan took over, the Nazis, the KKK, and the rest of the crazies came out of the woodpiles where they belonged and made themselves active threats to the remains of our democracy.

With Mitch McConnell as the semi-competent person helping, the cult took over the injustice system and made it even more unjust and vicious by jamming lunatics through the Senate and into the judiciary. Now they can wear their transvestite outfits while working because they have black robes to cover them up. Now they have the power to make their misogyny into actual torture and killing instead of staying in their fantasies. Now we have created a very real Gilead in our own country. The women of this country owe you, Mitch, and I don’t want to be around if they ever get even. You will be screaming for a LONG time.

Now we have the twit MTg as a resurrected JonBenet Ramsey cosplaying an adult in Congress and talking silly shit about a “national divorce.” She just wants to get even because her husband got rid of her, but that is too much truth for her to ever admit. She also will never admit to the reality that if she succeeds, the newly separated GQP confederacy would instantly be a shithole of poverty. Any state that is stupid enough to go with her is also already a net loser in federal taxes - they all have more coming in from the federal government than they send back. MTg and Kevin would be king and queen of a COVID-wracked slum of their own making.

Even though I live in the current worst charity case - Mitch does represent the general idiocy of Kentucky, sadly - in many ways I would still like to see the “divorce” happen. Suddenly the smarter states would be relieved of the burden of the charity cases and the remaining United States would have a much stronger economy. I would have to find a way to get out of Kentucky, of course, but I would be laughing every step of the way. I wouldn’t be the only one, either - damned near every thinking person would be leaving with me. Fascism and intellect don’t mix. Karma would be well served as the only productive people left town.

This is the same bunch that complains about trans people corrupting children, and they have their very own sexualized children up front “leading!” What an awful joke.
