Cancer will never be cured

Has anybody really thought about why rumored cancer cures never appear?  I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I suspect if you found a cancer cure today you would either be killed or your invention bought and you would be tied up in a contractual knot so tight you couldn’t so much as step in a medical lab without breaking the contract and forfeiting your life in the process.  The logic is so obvious it is painful.

Ever since Ronnie Raygun polluted Washington with his presence and his handlers got ahold of the legislative process, medical care in the US has gotten more and more expensive and more and more hugely profitable for some organizations.  The business model is simple and obvious: sell more drugs, more treatments, more procedures, and make people stay in high-priced care longer.  All of those things make money for the “Medical Care Monstrosity,” especially big pharma.

What doesn’t make them money is curing illnesses.  The business model is based on more sick people spending more and more money on medical services and drugs.

Trying to get a flu shot?  Every notice that they are hard to get some years, but Tamiflu, Aleve, and Tylenol are never hard to find?

A cure for AIDS would be a truly great blessing for those that are stuck with that (so-far incurable) infection but as long as the profit centers can get someone to pay their ghastly prices and profit margins for the “treatments,” that is another insistent evil that will be with us indefinitely.

So cancer, the great destroyer of lives, retirement funds, and kids’ inheritances will never be cured (publicly) until the big-money medical business no longer has a huge profit motive to keep it going.  The medical blackmail system makes a huge amount of money on cancer and the fear it generates, so they will keep teasing us with almost-cures and feed us cheap rat poison (“chemotherapy” in the jargon) forever, knowing that we will pay until we can no longer, at which point we will conveniently die.

This travesty of a system started gathering steam under Raygun, and it is now the single biggest drain on the economy, money that could be spent on far better things, except that we are not free to do so because we have to feed the black hole of medical care to keep ourselves and/or our relatives alive.  Take away that profit motive that makes the system so expensive and so motivated to suck us dry before we die, and the remaining honest people could start really making our lives better, instead of just more expensive.
