Whitehouse Quarantine

Once again, the foaming-at-the-mouth lunatic in the Whitehouse has forced me to examine ethical issues that should not require thinking about. The wannabe-king has decided that he doesn’t need to be tested for Coronavirus even though he has clearly been exposed, and that is so far from the ethics I live by that it just left me floored.

First off, proper medical care would seem to dictate knowing as soon as possible whether he has been exposed - there are already some treatments being explored, and it would enable his doctors to determine a course of treatment.

But the obvious (to me) ethical question is whether he should be allowed to expose others to the virus, whether he is the idiot-in-chief or not. Normal human considerations would make me accept the test as soon as they realized my exposure, so that I could keep myself from spreading the virus if it was in me. The orangutan doesn’t consider the health of anyone around him as meaningful, apparently - what is this piece of shit doing anywhere near the Whitehouse?

But this brings me to another question, especially since the toddler-in-chief has some idiots that follow his every move. If a civilian has been exposed and refuses or can’t get the test, should they be allowed to mix with society, or forced into quarantine? From a public health standpoint, it would make sense to me to force the quarantine. The public health system require that we minimize the spread of the virus to keep our medical system from being overwhelmed.

The only real question we have is how long the quarantine should last, and from what I understand, we apparently don’t know enough about the virus to understand what the gestation period is before it either is gone or we know they don’t have it. Since the orange turd wants to classify everything about the virus and pretend it isn’t a problem, we may not learn this until the worst of the pandemic is past.
