When “Opinion” Isn’t

I am still hearing members of the cult of the orange turd saying that “they have a right to their opinion.” Apparently they also think that they own the English language, so let’s fix that.

According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, an “opinion” is:

• A thought or belief about something or someone
• The thoughts or beliefs that a group of people have
• A judgment about someone or something
• A judgment made by an expert

None of these is “a disproved falsehood,” which is what the cult of the orangutan (including the Whitehouse branch) actually feeds everybody else. When the rest of us call it what it is, they claim the right to their “opinions,” a ludicrous abuse of the language at best. What the orange one’s minions are calling opinion is blatant bullshit, lies that have been repeatedly proven false. That is not “opinion,” so them calling it that is just one more lie.

We need to take the English language back from the con artists, even if we have to do it one word at a time.
