The New SCOTUS Divide

With the all-but-certain addition of yet another far-right-wing fruitcake to the Supreme Court, we will no longer have a court divided along classical liberal and conservative lines. The former conservatives will have been replaced by the flat earth/fairy tale believing wing of American society’s far-right fringe. They will longer qualify as mature enough or adult enough to be called conservatives. They will have retreated too far from reality.

The usual divide between adults and children in the US occurs when they reach the age where they deal with reality, usually 18. The rise of the Peter Pan rebellion - the correct term for the trumpites and the far-right - has made that age-based definition of adulthood meaningless, with the biological adults in the cult of the orange anus incapable of dealing with reality or accepting any responsibility.

With the final and complete loss of adult reasoning on the court’s former conservative wing, the court will soon consist of the adults - the former liberals - and the nursery, where reason and intellect don’t exist. If the remaining adults in Washington don’t do their job and render this new nursery wing irrelevant and rebuild the court to deal with reality, the country as it exists will cease to exist.

Of course, we could hope that reality for once overrides the fascists of the orange cult, but according to the current consensus, the Senate fascists are about to force another freak onto the court. Without adult intervention, this looks like the end of the United States and democracy on our soil.
