Debate? What Debate?

There is supposed to be a “debate” between Vice President Biden and the orange turd tonight. That is what the national news says. I have to admit I don’t get it. It isn’t going to be a debate no matter what they call it, so why lie about it?

Admittedly, this is a post-truth election, so calling it a debate is a relatively harmless lie, but it is still false. You can’t have a debate when one party cannot tell the truth, and we have several years of proof that the fake president is incapable of telling the truth no matter what. He lied continuously before the election he lost. He has lied continuously since they installed him in the Whitehouse. Please explain how this particular gabfest is going to be different?

Sure, his taxes are a new item on the national radar, but all he will do is come up with another pathetic and patently obvious set of lies that won’t last past the end of the bullshit session except on the right-wing fake news broadcasts. Why give the bastard free national coverage? Between Twitter and the fake news, he gets his lies told.

I hope that Biden is sharp enough tonight to trip up the liar-in-chief and make it even more obvious that we don’t have a president right now. I really do. The problem is that nothing is going to repair the harm done to the people who are getting screwed out of voting by the fascists’ gerrymandering and control of the voting apparatus, and their lies about “election fraud” that never happened.

No matter how bad the Vice President makes the orange cult leader look, it isn’t going to bring back the hundreds of thousands that have died because the orangutan decided his lies were more important than saving them from the coronavirus plague. It isn’t going to help the children that the new Hitler put in cages and their parents he put in concentration camps as scapegoats for his fans to ogle. It isn’t going to fix all the damage that the fascists have done by wrecking the middle class and the United States’ economy in their giveaway to the billionaires and multinationals.

What the hell is the point of this so-called “debate”?
