Stupid Always Has Plenty of Friends

I was reading an old piece by Charlie Warzel called “We Are Not Ready” and realized that I had found someone else that understood how frustrating it is to be someone who dealt with facts in a country where facts have lost political and personal traction. The orange cult piece of the populace simply refuses to bother with truth and reality. They would rather do violence to those that deal with facts that bother leaning. We see examples of this in the news almost daily.

The truly sad part of this is that the “followers” are suicidal. The orange cult is dying by the hundreds or thousands by following their cynical, con-artist “leaders” scams. The “leaders” are all vaccinated while they preach against vaccines and masks. The followers keep going right off the cliff. The “leaders” do anything to keep their followers as long as they live, but don’t care how long that is.

The idiots that preach against vaccines because they really believe it - well, they cease being problems when the virus catches up, so justice is served. A case of the blind leading the stupid, there.

To put some of this in perspective, the “fact” problems the right has are not at all new. Some old examples include the Flat Earth society and the John Birch society. A new lunatic crowd pops up every time some fright-wing freak does more of the drug called religion and pulls some more nonsense out of a Bible he or she never read.

My personal frustration with this insanity goes back to the days of Reagan and Jerry Falwell, both amazingly smooth, glib liars. Not by coincidence, they were also Republicans. I never comprehended how anyone believed either one of them, so nothing has really changed over the decades. It has just gotten worse. The orange anus was just more of the same in all dimensions - more lies, louder and more nauseating.

What is new is how far down the rabbit hole they have dragged the rest of the country. The world is facing potential extermination from the effects of human pollution, and the stupids like it that way. Those of us who try to make sense of politics and society simply are at a loss - there is nothing there that makes sense. If there was, they would destroy it.

The lunatic right has truly left humanity. They are destroying the world their children must live on, knowingly and willingly. The care nothing for what makes humans more than hairless, upright apes. What is really sad is that apes care more for each other and treat each other better than the orange cult does. The orange cult has regressed beyond cavemen.

At least the smart people try to understand what is going on, and try to make things better. The orange cult is slowly eliminating itself from humanity, but why does it have to take so long? The people who hate abortion are proving the need for abortion by existing. The people who are too stupid to carry guns are the most heavily armed.

The stupidity and insanity are out of control, and those of us who know better keep losing to the brutality of the stupid. I don’t have a happy ending to this.
