Brazenly Unconstitutional

More Insanity from DeathSantis’ Crowd.

The University of Florida has told three professors that they could not testify against the state of Florida in a lawsuit. Seriously. This is a university that is blatantly and openly gagging its professors for politics and politics alone.

I doubt that even the McConnell Supreme Court could back something this blatant. That said, the longer McConnell’s fake judges are there and the more stupidity I hear out of them, the less confidence I have that they are even tenuously connected to the real Constitution, and the more they scare me.

While this is yet another patently obvious attempt by the fascists to tear more pieces off of the Constitution, it is also a demonstration of how close we are to Florida going its own way and leaving the United States, or at least trying. The fascist governor’s crowd seems to think they can get away with it. The next thing they are likely to try is stopping their newspapers from publishing critical editorials - just following other fascists around the world, after all.

One thing we know: the fascists’ COVID lunacy will reduce the number of voters capable of voting for them. There is some reason for hope.
