American Peasants have found their Stalin

Trying to Repeat the Russian and Chinese Communist Revolutions

I was musing on Stalin Jr. (Putin) and Xi the other day and thinking about their parallel histories. Both Russia and China came to be so-called Communist countries via peasant revolts. Charismatic leaders lying to the peasants started the revolutions.

The peasants use different names in Trump’s America, “conservatives” being the most common. Regardless, they are the same as the peasants of these earlier two revolutions in one critical way. They believe blatantly false things and act on those lies.

There is a vast difference. Unlike the peasants in Russia and China, they aren’t entirely uneducated. American peasants have more than enough of everything. They have no reason to believe the lies. Voluntary stupidity is their only excuse, and they embrace it.

Unlike in Russia and China, the current crop of peasants is not at the bottom of society. Those stuck at bottom of society are not stupid enough to believe the lies. They have to use their brains to survive. The modern peasants have the leisure to listen to con artists and stay fat while swallowing the lies.

The fascists have been preparing this for decades. Every “Republican” since Nixon has added to the brainwashing. They have destroyed public education so that no one would challenge them. They have sold “entitlement” so the peasants believe they should get something for nothing. They have discredited anything intellectual because intellectuals see through the lies. Few Americans can remember a President who could tell the truth and not have it screamed down.

Now comes the orange toddler, the ultimate liar. He lies because he can’t tell the difference between true and false. The narcissist lies because nobody and nothing else matters to him. He tells the peasants the lies they want to hear, and they love him for it. The peasants refuse to see the evidence of their eyes through the mist of their fairy tales. They are ready and willing to destroy the system, even though they will kill themselves if they do.

They have found their Stalin and are trying to complete their revolution.
