The Orange Toddler’s Real Appeal? He Gets Away With It.

He is a one-note wonder - “Me Me Me Me Meeee.”

For the longest time I couldn’t figure out what his appeal was. Even when he started pretending to run for president, everyone knew he was a piece of shit. New Yorkers hate him because they got their noses rubbed in just how bad he was. At least someone had their head screwed on straight.

So why does “the base” love the orangutan? Why does every GQP politician back him up when he is being arrested for crimes everyone knows he committed? The answer is sadly simple, but it is not something that “normal” people want to think about. We are too civilized. The reason that the cheeto was and is popular with a certain strain of lunatics boils down to his being a flaming narcissist that gets away with it. His fan base wishes they could get away with all of the blatantly nasty shit he has done. That is their collective fantasy and hallucination.

He has built his cult on that act. For them, thinking is too civilized, don’t bother. Caring about others is civilized, screw that. The orange clown gets away with it, why shouldn’t they? The orange cult wants to leave civilization behind and live the pathologically narcissistic existence that the orange twit pretends he has. The real problem is, of course, that he has most of the money he needs to keep reality fended off. The rest of the base gets caught and does jail time if they try it. That offends them, and they want to tear down the civilization that forces them to at least act like human beings.

The GQP has obliged them by doing its damnedest to destroy everything civilized about this country. They ride the herd of crazies like a crowdsurfer at a Metallica concert, collecting tons of bruises along the way but staying off the ground. Anyone showing even the slightest civilization is thrown down and stomped, which has made “civilized” and “GQP” two words that cannot be used in the same sentence.

The fantasy is maintained at all costs. If the base had to start thinking about what it was doing even a little, it would melt back into the caves, rat holes and woodpiles it came from. If fat nixon goes down, suddenly the base has to see that even their whacked-out god answers to civilization. Even the slightest bit of self reflection - “I could go to jail for this” - pops the bubble that keeps the insanity alive. The GQP and the fright wing live on the fantasy, so they go down with it.

This is the key to why even DeSadist has rallied to the defense of his competitor for GQP leadership. Because the fright wing lives in the fantasy, it will come apart like a house of cards in a hurricane if/when reality comes back from vacation. All of the unconstitutional, racist, regressive bullshit that DeathSantis and his peers in Texas and other so-called “red states” have instituted will vanish in small puffs of smoke when the court system, and maybe even some of the voters, begin to come to their senses.

None of this is new, of course. Even Scientific American, a magazine that has avoided most politics like the plague, has explored this. The orange hitler’s psychotic expertise at rabble-rousing received their attention even before the 2016 election. The fruitcake is so sick that the American Psychoanalytic Association finally gave its members permission to talk publicly about it, throwing out decades of previous policy. The people that know mental illness were and are scared shitless of the narcissistic orange shitbag and the fantasy he sells.

Reality and science are civilized and require thinking. The fantasists in the fright wing want nothing to do with them. They rejected COVID vaccines and are still killing their followers with that. Thinking about how you are killing yourself by not taking vaccines is too civilized for the loons. The trouble with that is they are killing other people when they get it. That is intentional, too - we are civilized.
