The GQP is Just a Bunch of Stooges for Billionaires, In Case You Hadn’t Noticed

I know it is not a new concept. My mentor introduced me to it back when Reagan got in. Antifa formed to try to prevent it. But here we are.

There was a time when laws were meant to be followed, not laughed at. The U. S. was set up with the intent of being a country of laws, not men. The Founding Fathers, the real Federalists, had seen the shit that lawless rulers created. They tried to set things up to prevent that happening in the new country. It has taken the rethuglicans over 50 years of concentrated effort to finally break it completely. It worked for 200 years, but not anymore.

I recently saw someone say “A Republican accusation is an admission.” Their constant “crisis actor” and “false flag” accusations every time they need a distraction forced me to figure out that they are constantly using actors and false flags. For actors, we have no further to look than Ronnie Raygun and the orange cult leader.

Raygun was chosen because he was a smooth liar and didn’t have the brains to know he was lying. At the time, the GOP was suffering from a bad case of redass from Nixon getting caught. With Nixon, the GOP Congress critters had enough honesty to know when they were caught and they fired him. The party wasn’t quite fully owned by the billionaires yet. For a crappy B-movie actor, Raygun was “good enough” to play president and remember his lines. I am sure that Nancy kept him from dropping his mask for the time he had to play the role, so the rethuglicans made out on that deal.

Between Raygun and the orangutan were some weak-sister presidents, both Republican and Democrat, who let the thugs kick the can down the road. That let the thugs do things like destroy education, wreck public trust in government, and build up “the base.” The orange toddler brought the fascist/racist fake-christian nationalists crawling out of their rat holes. He turned them into the Nazis that call themselves the GOP. A reasonable law enforcement response to the gun-toting thuggery of the lunatics would have stopped them in their tracks. The fascist core of the GQP made sure that law enforcement was lookisleightng the other way while they turned the proto-base into a new Confederate army. They used Hitler’s model of taking useless stupids and turning them into loyal thugs by pretending they mattered. Now we have the new Brownshirts - the badly labeled Proud Boys are a prime example.

Education had to go, of course, because an educated country would not have even begun to put up with the fascism now all-but running us. It is no accident that the GQP has pointed fingers at ANTIFA every chance they got. The people who formed ANTIFA saw through the rethuglicans at the time of Raygun, and they see through them now. That kind of educated response - seeing the reality and responding to it - is exactly what would sink the GQP’s bullshit if it had any strength. Just like Nixon demonized the smart, educated people of his time - the hippies - and started a “drug war” to criminalize them, so the GQP hates ANTIFA and the rest of the education system that teaches people what the GQP really is. It is no accident that they want law enforcement dogging ANTIFA while their fascist thugs run free.

Destroying public trust in government was their prime aim, though. Starting with Raygun, every rethuglican was on-message with the chorus of “the government is the problem.” It is and was clearly a lie, but the truth got buried in extreme volumes of noise. Ayn Rand got to be “a thing,” with every brain-washed rethuglican swearing that she had shown them the way to nirvana. The destruction of education made sure that the meth-head lunacy was not challenged effectively.

After all the groundwork, then came another piss-poor actor, the orange cult leader. He worked “the base” up to a fever pitch, and they got him elected, albeit with considerable sleight of hand. They accused the Democrats of cheating, of course. Nobody was paying attention or the fat nixon would have been in prison already. Instead we had to put up with four years of him infesting the Whitehouse. Now we have to waste time listening to his whining and complaining that he couldn’t have lost the election. There is no doubt in reality that he got his ass kicked.

Another bunch of actors need the spotlight. The fright-wing circus in the House right now is either actors or children cosplaying adults, and it really doesn’t matter which. Without them, Congress would have turned its back on the corporate billionaires enough that most of the “gains” of the orange cult years would pretty much be gone. I have no doubt that without the fright-wing caucus, the real GOP would be negotiating with Biden to give back a bunch of the orange years’ tax breaks. They would work on balancing the budget instead of sitting scared and letting the fright-wing scuttle the country. The billionaires cannot afford a working democracy now, and they are playing every card they can to keep it from working.

Of course the billionaires don’t want the responsibility of ruling, which is why they keep putting up actors to be the new kings. Idiots like Raygun and the orangutan can’t rule, of course. They do just fine at taking the heat for the failures of the government and the system, though. That is what the billionaires need as they finish putting the rest of what was once a real economy into their pockets. The royalty-wannabes don’t see the middle class as the economic engine that is is (or was). They see it as an aberration allowed by incompetent rulers in the late middle ages, and they intend to reverse the earlier rulers’ mistakes. Meth-head Randite fantasies rule, there.

Some so-called conservatives look back to the times before women could vote and wish for barefoot and pregnant servants. Others look back before the civil war and make racist wishes for black slaves. The billionaires that own the GQP look back ten centuries to before the Renaissance, when the church and the royalty had all of the money and power. They see that the common people were all slaves to the powerful. To them, Putin is too wishy-washy. Orbán is nothing but a carnival barker. They don’t want half-way, they want it all. Regular citizens, the “little people,” aren’t even relevant other than as potential slaves.

So enjoy the clown show. The orange cult and the fright-wing caucus may be the last amusement we get before darkness falls completely.
