The Faces of Propaganda

Tokyo Rose, Axis Sally, and now Tucker Carlson

During World War Two, the Japanese and Germans ran propaganda radio stations aimed at demoralizing the Allies, and the voices behind those stations still have a certain level of infamy. The technology of the time meant that these famous voices only reached troops in the disputed countries, but today we have technology that allows the propaganda to reach right into our homes, and the current enemy is taking advantage of it.

Just as Hitler had his allies in the U. S., so does Putin. Since “Fox News” has now become a wholly controlled subsidiary of Putin’s RTRN, the Russian autocrat now feeds propaganda directly into large numbers of American homes. As Putin kills and maims his way through Ukraine, so do his American troops cause their damage in the U. S.

So we now have Tucker Carlson instead of Tokyo Rose, Axis Sally, or Lord Haw Haw. Because Americans no longer bother with the lessons of history, only a few of us recognize this obvious failure of loyalty. Putin’s useful idiots in America have turned “patriotism” on its head and made it refer to Putin’s shills, rather than those loyal to the Constitution and the Laws of this country. The fascism that Reagan promoted among the ignorant has now been collected into the cult of GOP personality started by the orange fake president. Putin’s head propagandist Carlson is the voice of the anti-patriots.

The country has survived Hitler and Tojo, but can it survive Putin, Trump, and Carlson?
