Irony

We have Putin invading a well-functioning democracy while claiming the Ukrainians are Nazis. At the same time, we have his proxy and point man Orbán preaching blatant Nazism to (and being cheered loudly by) false “conservatives” in a country that tries to claim it is a democracy. Putin’s failed orange student had to tag along, of course.

What do you call this? It makes my stomach turn upside down it is so sickening. Some of us actually still have democratic ideals - a living Constitution, a system of laws that is enforced equally on all, freedom of the press, freedom of (and from) religion,…All of those ideals that the founding fathers enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights still have a few believers.

No, we have never gotten there. Those are still ideals. Still, having Nazism openly preached and cheered by so-called Americans is just too much. Of course, this was in Texas. That is appropriate, given that the Texas branch of the Nazi Party is trying to restart the Confederacy and leave the U. S., but do we have to allow them to get away with it? Didn’t we learn anything from the first blood-letting?
